Clark Huggins is an illustrator, actor, writer, and creative director whose career spans visual storytelling, live performance, tabletop gaming, and original entertainment.
He is the co-founder and Creative Director of CHAOS ASSEMBLY, a new independent, audio-first entertainment studio. He co-wrote and co-produced—and is a principal cast member in—the studio's debut production, DARK PROVIDENCE, a 12-episode, full-cast supernatural horror audio drama set in Providence, Rhode Island. Blending occult mystery, psychological horror, and an ensemble of complex characters, the series draws on Clark's extensive background in illustration, acting, and narrative development.
As an illustrator, Clark has worked extensively in science fiction, fantasy, and tabletop gaming. His artwork has appeared in SPECTRUM, IMAGINE FX, and the INFECTED BY ART annual, and he has created illustrations for properties including STAR WARS, ANDROID: NETRUNNER, CALL OF CTHULHU, and ELDRITCH HORROR.
Clark is also the creator and founder of RECKLESS DECK, a series of creative prompt card decks designed to spark unexpected ideas for artists, writers, and tabletop role-playing gamers. He successfully launched both the original Reckless Deck and Reckless Deck PSYCHE through Kickstarter, building an international community of creative enthusiasts. Through the project, he has had the opportunity to commission and art direct acclaimed artists including Vanessa Lemen, Dave Palumbo, Bastien Lecouffe Deharme, and Richard “Flaptraps” Anderson.
His previous leadership roles include Creative Director at HEROMAKER STUDIOS, a digital comics and entertainment company, and Senior Art Director at GRAVYSTACK, a story-driven mobile game designed to teach financial literacy to teenagers.
Before establishing himself in illustration and creative direction, Clark spent more than a decade as a professional actor, performing contemporary and classical theater in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area. He holds an MFA in Acting from the A.R.T. Institute at Harvard University. His theatrical training and performance experience continue to inform his approach to character, dialogue, visual storytelling, and the development of original intellectual property.
Clark studied illustration at the Rhode Island School of Design and Syracuse University, and pursued additional training through the Illustration MasterClass and SmartSchool.
Clark currently resides in Providence.
